At SIU: In 2005, recorded five top-10 finishes during the indoor season and five in outdoor competition between long jump and short sprint events...had three top-10 finishes in the long jump in 2003...highest indoor finish of the 2003 season was fourth at the McDonald's Invitational.

Pre-SIU: All-conference pick as a freshman and senior at Springfield High School...placed at sectionals in each of his four prep years...was City Champion in the long jump as both a junior and senior...100-meter dash champion as a senior.
