BATON ROUGE, La. - A pair of Saluki track athletes competed at the Mid-East Regionals at Louisiana State Friday and Saturday and narrowly missed advancing to the NCAA Championships.

Korto Dunbar qualified for Saturday's regional finals in the 100-meter hurdles with a ninth-place time of 13.45 seconds in the preliminaries. In the finals, the senior finished seventh in 13.61.

Long-distance specialist Noa Beitler also barely missed qualifying. The senior missed the 1,500-meter qualifying time by less than two seconds.

Other Saluki competitors included Inna Turevsky, who placed 17th in the triple jump with a mark of 40 feet, 2.75 inches, Danielle Lawary, who took 20th in the shot put with a throw of 46 feet, 6.25 inches, Katy Ritten, who finished 29th in the shot put with 44 feet, 9.50 inches,
